What is the best way to get to the National Parks in Italy?
In some cases, you will be able to access some areas of the National Parks in Italy by public transport.
However, consider that they do not run regularly, or are sometimes unreliable. So just because you made it to the beginning of a trail doesn’t mean you will find a means of transport when you return.
This means that unfortunately, the best option for most remote areas is to use a car.
I am continuously researching ways to get to hiking locations by public transport (or with a combination of public transport/bicycle). If you hear of any well-connected trails, please reach out and I will add them to the Park Locator map.
Is this Park Locator an offical park app?
No, this park locator has been created by Nature of Sal and is not affiliated with the Natural or Regional Parks in any way.
In fact, I invite you to also check out the official parks.it website.
Personally, I find it a bit difficult to navigate, so I preferred creating my own tool for personal use.
But as I noticed that I would find maps and other info much faster with my own tool, I decided to make it available to the public for free.
What's the amount of National Parks in Italy?
